Programme overview
A structured railway-learning pathway
PAK-C10 develops entry-level railway workshop safety knowledge and supervised practical competence for learners preparing to work in depots, rolling-stock workshops, maintenance facilities, fabrication areas, inspection bays, stores, service pits and related railway technical environments.
The course is deliberately railway-specific rather than a generic occupational-safety course. Learners work through hazards associated with rolling stock, workshop movement, pits, heavy components, jacking/supporting, tools, machinery, stored mechanical/pneumatic/electrical energy, batteries, hot work, chemicals, compressed systems, workshop traffic, lifting operations, housekeeping, incident response and controlled documentation.
The programme develops the learner's ability to identify hazards, follow approved instructions, understand risk controls, use appropriate PPE, maintain safe working areas, stop and escalate unsafe work, participate in toolbox talks, complete basic safety records and perform selected supervised workshop tasks within clearly defined limits.

PAK separates academic learning from statutory or employer authorization. Completion of academic study does not by itself confer authority to perform licensed, certified or safety-critical railway duties.
