A structured railway-learning pathway
PAK-C02 is an applied certificate for learners entering or supporting railway-vehicle maintenance environments. It develops a structured understanding of rolling-stock maintenance from safe workshop entry and technical documentation through component inspection, subsystem maintenance, fault finding, controlled repair, quality records and final practical integration.
The course is broader than a freight-wagon-only programme and therefore introduces maintenance principles applicable across common rolling-stock families while allowing practical examples to use freight wagons, coaches, locomotives or multiple-unit components according to available training assets.
The certificate is intended for maintenance trainees, workshop assistants, junior technicians, production/inspection personnel moving into maintenance, and learners seeking a practical pathway into PAK-D01 or related specialist certificates.
Academic orientation
Practical rolling-stock maintenance foundations covering inspection, mechanical systems, brakes, auxiliaries, maintenance methods, troubleshooting, documentation, quality and supervised workshop competence
PAK separates academic learning from statutory or employer authorization. Completion of academic study does not by itself confer authority to perform licensed, certified or safety-critical railway duties.
